Overview
The organization is partnering with a Colorado-based CPA firm seeking an Audit Senior to support audit and related assurance engagements for a sophisticated client base.
This role includes working directly with clients and internal teams, taking responsibility across engagement phases, and helping drive audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Perform audit, review, or compilation procedures for clients
- Conduct effective risk and internal control assessments and support audit planning
- Manage all engagement phases, including planning, fieldwork, financial statement and report preparation, and delivery
- Review staff work, prepare high-risk audit sections, and draft financial statements
- Provide financial and business analysis post-fieldwork to help improve client controls and procedures
- Collect and analyze client information to solve problems and meet deadlines
- Train and delegate tasks to staff based on availability and experience
- Conduct fieldwork at client locations and for remote clients
- Meet assigned deadlines or budgets and communicate proactively regarding progress
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2+ years of accounting firm audit experience
- CPA license or actively in process
- Knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft programs
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented
