Overview
A federal contractor is seeking a Federal Budget Consultant to support the implementation of a Budget and Spend solution (BAS) built on SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for a federal customer. This is a full-time, multi-year contract position with 100% remote work.
Responsibilities
- Document and communicate the federal customer's budgetary processes to the project team.
- Explain Federal Budget Policies and their impact on business processes and system requirements.
- Document federal budgeting and execution reporting requirements.
- Develop business requirements and functional design documents to guide technical development of budgeting and reporting solutions.
- Create mockups and visual aids to communicate functional designs internally and to customers.
- Develop test plans, test scenarios/cases, and manage test execution.
- Conduct BAS solution demonstrations and presentations at all levels within a Federal Agency.
Required Qualifications
- Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in federal budget-related activities including budget formulation, execution, spend plan creation, and personnel planning.
- Knowledge of federal budgetary regulations and procedures.
- Understanding of systems integration and reporting.
- Expertise in civilian federal budgeting, forecasting, and labor planning.
- Strong implementation and systems integration experience across multiple ERP systems such as Momentum, SAP, and Oracle.
- Familiarity with project management best practices.
- Experience with one or more federal government ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Momentum).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in business process analysis and functional design of financial budgeting and reporting solutions.
- Experience with budgeting/planning tools such as Hyperion/Oracle Planning, OneStream, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, SAP SAC, or custom-built federal budgeting solutions.
- Experience with BI tools like SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, PowerBI, or MicroStrategy is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Federal Agencies.
- Familiarity with the Federal Budget Process.
- Experience with the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $105,000 - $175,000 USD annually.
