Overview

This role involves serving as a Finance Business Partner reporting to the Director FP&A. The position owns relationships with Operating or Non-Operating leadership and provides trusted business advisory support. Responsibilities include preparing analyses and models, supporting one or more senior leadership team members, and leading ad hoc projects throughout the year (including building models in Adaptive Planning and designing/developing Domo dashboards).

Responsibilities

  • Manage financial information and data governance

    • Maintain a deep understanding of the global financial data governance model for the assigned portfolio.
    • Propose enhancements to the data model based on business understanding and strong collaboration with business stakeholders, peers, and other corporate leadership team members.
    • Monitor and propose enhancements to the KPI reporting strategy to strengthen the accountability model for business owners within owned relationships.
  • Lead planning processes and performance targets

    • Within owned executive relationships, lead and consolidate the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process, including required analysis, templates, reports, and executive management presentations.
    • Recommend performance targets for AOP and ensure plans are in place to deliver against agreed targets.
  • Business partnering across key corporate processes

    • Integrate with recruiting, compensation, real estate, and procurement processes as relevant to the assigned portfolio to ensure spending and investment align with approved budgets.
    • Partner with Corporate Accounting teams to support accounting analyses (including cost rate reviews) related to owned business relationships.
  • Support initiatives and drive process improvements

    • Maintain a leadership role in business initiatives supporting simplification, FP&A metric conformance, business growth, and productivity.
    • Drive process improvements by identifying and leveraging best financial practices across the organization.
  • Provide decision support to senior leadership

    • Partner with assigned business leaders (Corporate Services SVPs and EVPs, Operational Presidents, RMDs) to provide information, data, analysis, and insights for data-driven, profit-increasing decisions.
    • Support financial and capital budgeting/forecasting and other high-value analysis for corporate and operational functions.
    • Assist senior executive management in monitoring performance against overall long-term strategic plans, requiring knowledge of the company, competitive landscape, trends, and economic and social implications of organizational activities.
    • Create and deliver enhanced management reports/dashboards with peer group and reporting/BI teams to ensure consistent reporting across peer groups.
    • Provide regular feedback and communication on variances between plan and actuals, including projected impact to future results, with timely updates and expert analysis during the reporting cycle.
    • Lead preparation of models, demos, and training materials to support training for senior field leadership in advanced financial concepts.
  • Talent management and professional development

    • Own career development by seeking opportunities for growth, obtaining or maintaining active professional certifications and/or licenses, and attending professional development training regularly (internal and external).
    • Stay current on leadership and expertise in the latest technologies and methodologies impacting Financial Planning & Analysis professionals.
  • Financial projects and compliance support

    • Participate as directed in approved and ad hoc financial projects.
    • Support requests for information used in internal and external reporting on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is required.
  • Foundational understanding of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements/guidelines, and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
  • 5+ years’ experience within Corporate FP&A Function; experience in public company and Fortune 500 environment strongly preferred.
  • MS Office, including Intermediate/Advanced skills in Excel.
  • Excellent planning, organization, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Foundational understanding of financial statements and metrics and how to translate them into operational goals.
  • Ability to manage processes and tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Agility to work in an environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Ability to analyze, prioritize, and synthesize all types of information to create timely and effective business impact consistently.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to present to Senior Executive Leadership.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in public company and Fortune 500 environment (strongly preferred).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Typical annual salary range: $75,000.00 - $112,000.00 (negotiable depending upon experience and location).
  • Bonus eligibility: Discretionary annual bonus.
