Financial Analyst

Overview

This role supports finance teammates with routine analysis and reconciliations. The position emphasizes financial reporting, budgeting support, and careful variance analysis. Day-to-day work requires accuracy, organization, and a willingness to learn established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review financial schedules for completeness and arithmetic accuracy.
• Communicate analysis findings in plain language to other team members.
• Compare actual results with budgets and prior-period figures.
• Support regular budgeting and forecast updates using supplied assumptions.
• Help prepare monthly reports with clearly labeled tables and charts.
• Maintain working files and document sources for calculations.
• Assist with preparation of forecast scenarios under team guidance.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of budgets, financial statements, and variances.
• Ability to work with established procedures and review notes.
• Ability to ask questions when financial assumptions are unclear.
• Organized approach to deadlines and document management.
• Comfortable working remotely with finance and operations colleagues.

Experience from related roles, internships, or individual projects can be useful preparation.
