Overview

The organization is seeking a Financial Analyst to support mission critical initiatives and enable business growth within the Diplomacy Subsector. This role partners with finance and program leadership across multiple major programs to deliver analysis, reporting, and insights supporting U.S. diplomatic operations worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial functions including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis across assigned programs.
  • Collect, review, reconcile, and validate financial data from multiple sources.
  • Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management.
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data discrepancies.
  • Create, maintain, and update financial models, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to support program and corporate reporting needs.
  • Generate new project records and maintain/monitor project setups throughout their lifecycle, ensuring accurate coding, timely activation, and alignment with financial and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain complete records and documentation to ensure compliance with internal controls, contract requirements, and Federal acquisition regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and support recovery or mitigation strategies.
  • Support monthly reporting functions including sales and earnings variance commentary.
  • Prepare customer deliverables including invoice backup packages, Limitation of Funds notifications, and other ad-hoc requests.
  • Support review of cost proposals, contract modifications, and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or 4+ years of additional related work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience: 2+ years of related experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions)
  • Familiarity with financial systems (Oracle EBS, Oracle Hyperion, or similar)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present financial information clearly to financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • US citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of government contract cost structures

Compensation & Benefits

  • Likely salary range: $64,230 - $86,250
    • This is not a guarantee. Pay is set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements, and could fall outside this range.
