Overview

This is a full-time Financial Analyst role, remote within the United States.

Salary: $71,000–$79,000 per year.

In this position, you will organize financial information into clear views of actual performance, expected results, and the factors driving differences between plans and outcomes. Accuracy and clear communication are essential.

The work includes both recurring reporting and forward-looking analysis. Some tasks follow established financial cycles, while others require scenario comparisons, variance investigation, and connecting financial results to the underlying operational activity.

Financial models and schedules must remain understandable after the immediate task is complete, supported by clear labels, documented assumptions, reasonable checks, and organized formulas.

Responsibilities

  • Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is shared or relied upon.
  • Support KPI reporting by linking financial measures to relevant operational context.
  • Improve recurring financial reporting processes while maintaining appropriate review controls.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting by organizing assumptions, updating schedules, and checking calculations.
  • Reconcile information across schedules or reports and investigate material inconsistencies.
  • Document model logic, assumptions, and analytical methods to keep work understandable and reusable.
  • Present alternative scenarios when a single estimate could create a false sense of precision, particularly when outcomes depend on variables that may change.

Requirements

  • Organized documentation habits and an appreciation for traceable financial analysis.
  • Strong numerical reasoning, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to checking financial information.
  • Clear written communication and the ability to summarize financial information for non-specialist stakeholders.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for calculations and organized financial schedules.
  • Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.
