Overview
A leading financial institution in Texas is seeking a Data Analyst to analyze complex data sets and provide insights that support strategic decision-making. This role involves interpreting data related to banking operations, customer behavior, and financial performance to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data to support business objectives and strategic planning.
- Interpret data to assess past performance and project future trends.
- Perform moderately complex statistical analyses across various banking and financial systems.
- Develop detailed reports for forecasting, trend analysis, and performance evaluation.
- Utilize software tools such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics tools to manipulate and format data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Maintain data integrity and ensure accuracy and consistency of reports.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and reporting.
- Provide analytical support on various projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within banking or financial services.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis software such as Excel, SQL, and statistical packages (e.g., SAS, R, or SPSS).
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
