Overview

This role is on the organization’s Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, serving as a tech-forward analytical partner to business leaders. Responsibilities include forecasting, financial modeling, and providing data-driven insights.

The ideal candidate has a quantitative, data-oriented background and is comfortable working with data beyond spreadsheet basics—handling large datasets, querying data as needed (e.g., SQL), and using AI tools to improve analysis. This person will help translate credible data into decision support and contribute to a more automated, analytics- and AI-assisted finance function.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis for assigned business units
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and monthly reporting for assigned business units
  • Partner with business leaders as a consultative financial resource to explain key drivers, anticipate risks, and support data-backed decisions
  • Query and work with large financial data sets to extract data and surface insights using SQL and data systems
  • Identify and help automate recurring reporting and analytical workflows; build tools that enable faster, more independent access to financial data and shift the function from “report producers” to “insight generators”
  • Apply quantitative and data science fundamentals (statistics and modeling; Python-adjacent skills) to support smarter, more automated analytical workflows
  • Use AI tools to improve the quality and speed of work, including identifying where AI adds value versus where human judgment is required
  • Work effectively in ambiguous environments and develop toward a finance function that is expected to look different in three to five years

Requirements

  • Ability to live the organization’s core values
  • Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience building financial models used in real planning cycles, including experience querying and working with large data sets to extract and analyze information
  • Active use of AI tools to improve speed and quality of analytical work, with the ability to identify where AI creates real efficiency versus where human judgment matters
  • Strong analytical acumen and intellectual curiosity about what drives business performance; ability to communicate insights through clear, well-visualized narratives that support decisions for non-finance audiences
  • Comfortable working with large or complex data sets and using modern tools (including AI) to manipulate data or build skills that enable automation and analytical scale

Education & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience, or equivalent analytical internship and project experience in a data-focused role
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related quantitative field (Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Quantitative Analysis of Markets and Organizations (QAMO), or similar)
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including financial modeling
  • Experience working with large data sets and querying data as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with FP&A or BI tools such as OneStream, Power BI, or Tableau
  • SQL, Python, or R experience for advanced data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience with statistical or econometric modeling, including regression, forecasting models (Monte Carlo), and hypothesis testing
