Overview

This role as a Financial Analyst performs forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and analysis to support business strategy and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly and long-term forecasting, budgeting, and modeling
  • Prepare reporting and analyze operational metrics
  • Create executive and ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis by identifying key drivers
  • Identify data trends indicating strengthening or weakening performance
  • Develop financial tools, analyses, and metrics that support business strategies
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and provide analytical support as required
  • Conceptualize and develop summary charts and tables to help stakeholders consume large volumes of data

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, or other related quantitative discipline is required
  • CPA, CFA, or work towards these credentials is preferred but not required
  • Master in Business Administration preferred
  • 3–5 years of related business experience, including public accounting, consulting, or finance
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience creating, interpreting, and presenting financial projections and models
  • Experience with financial analysis tools (OneStream, TM1, Hyperion, etc.) and data analysis tools (Qlik, Tableau)
  • Proficiency with relational database models and writing SQL queries
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., QlikView, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience with planning systems such as One Stream, Hyperion, IBM, etc.
  • General/basic understanding of key financial statements and accounting principles (e.g., accounting/finance education and/or related experience)
  • Ability to think critically, apply analytics strategy to solve problems, and identify relevant observations for reporting
  • Ability to clearly document work performed and observations identified
  • Experience using analytics tools and/or programming languages to derive insights and communicate them to key stakeholders
  • Critical thinking skills to bring order to unstructured problems
  • Ability to learn new technologies, innovate creative solutions, and push boundaries in how technology is used to solve complex problems
  • Curiosity to dive into business needs, ask probing questions, and collaborate with stakeholders to design solutions
  • Ability to navigate multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, cross-functional, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment

  • Experience leading analytic teams to solve complex business problems
  • Ability to own self work and others’ work for quality, accuracy, and relevance
