Overview

This role involves serving as a Finance Analyst within the financial planning and analysis team, focusing on Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies and supporting business operations. The position partners closely with Marketing, Sales, and Operations leadership to provide visibility into performance, improve investment decisions, and help scale GTM efforts efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong FP&A skills and a solid understanding of how GTM strategies impact overall financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner to GTM leaders by supporting annual planning, rolling forecasts, and in-quarter execution.
  • Build and maintain financial models related to pipeline generation, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and profitability for Marketing and GTM initiatives.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to plan, allocate, and optimize budgets across programs.
  • Monitor spend versus forecast, providing variance analysis and recommendations.
  • Establish a data-driven framework for evaluating Marketing ROI and investment tradeoffs.
  • Benchmark GTM efficiency metrics against SaaS industry standards to provide context for leadership.
  • Assist in developing business cases for new projects and investments, including cost-benefit analyses.
  • Improve forecasting processes and financial workflows to enhance speed and accuracy.
  • Identify risks and opportunities proactively, recommending actions to keep the business on track.
  • Use data and analytics to drive continuous improvement in financial strategies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial goals and Marketing strategies.
  • Translate complex data into clear, concise recommendations for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively across time zones with distributed GTM and Finance teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or related roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience in SaaS or FinTech industries.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or relevant professional certification such as CFA or CPA.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
  • Experience working with large datasets and translating insights into business recommendations.
  • Ability to connect financial metrics to business drivers, especially within GTM functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with tools like Salesforce, Tableau, or Adaptive is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: $95,000 - $110,000 plus bonus and benefits.
