Overview
This role supports corporate finance, accounting, and regulatory reporting for a fast-growing technology business. You will analyze operating results, prepare management reporting, and help maintain accurate financial data under US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
You will partner with accounting, FP&A, legal, and compliance teams to strengthen close processes, document SOX controls, and turn financial data into clear analysis for leadership. The work requires precision, sound judgment, and the ability to investigate variances across complex systems and reporting periods.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial analyses, including variance explanations, trend reporting, and management dashboards
- Support the financial close by reconciling accounts, reviewing journal-entry support, and investigating discrepancies in the general ledger
- Build and maintain reporting models in Excel, Google Sheets, or financial planning tools using data from ERP and business systems
- Assist with SEC reporting schedules, footnote support, and documentation of US GAAP accounting conclusions
- Document, test, and monitor SOX controls; track remediation items and coordinate evidence collection for internal and external audits
- Partner with accounting, FP&A, compliance, and business teams to improve reporting accuracy, close timelines, and financial processes
- Identify data-quality issues and automate recurring analyses using SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable tools
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate accounting, audit, FP&A, or a related role
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a comparable quantitative discipline
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, financial statements, account reconciliations, and period-end close processes
- Experience with advanced Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, lookups, financial models, and data validation
- Familiarity with SOX controls, audit support, SEC reporting, or public-company accounting requirements
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial results to non-finance stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA eligibility or progress toward certification
- Experience with NetSuite, SAP, Workday Adaptive Planning, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or SEC filings
