Financial Analyst

Overview

This role involves supporting the financial management of group captive insurance companies by collaborating with Underwriting, Risk Management, and Accounting teams. The position focuses on financial analysis, client consultation, and managing relationships with various external service providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the financial management of group captive insurance companies under supervision.
• Perform financial analysis for clients and provide consultation based on analytical findings.
• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients and external service providers such as actuaries, tax advisors, auditors, investment managers, bankers, carriers, and third-party administrators.
• Prepare and present financial materials for Board of Directors meetings of group captive insurance companies.
• Manage process improvement projects and serve as an analytical or procedural expert on cross-functional teams.
• Assist in the formation and management of new group captive insurance companies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience in financial accounting or related fields.
• Willingness to travel 4-6 times per year for client-facing or internal meetings.
• Experience in client-facing roles.
• Familiarity with Power BI.
• Prior experience with SQL Server or willingness to learn.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Basic understanding of data reporting or willingness to learn.
