Financial Analytics Manager

Overview

This full-time Financial Analytics Manager role supports financial product and service delivery across pharmacy benefit analytics. The position partners with internal teams and clients, using advanced analytical tools to evaluate pharmacy spend drivers, assess PBM RFPs, and support contract review and negotiation activities.

Responsibilities

• Use proprietary financial analytic tools and Excel to analyze client pharmacy spend and underlying cost drivers.
• Assist in developing methodologies, analytics, and outcomes assessments using output from the organization’s PharmaLogicTM system.
• Manage internal RFP/procurement and market-check financial processes for clients, including:
  • Gathering and analyzing incumbent data
  • Financial evaluation and assessment of PBM RFP responses
  • Working with the online procurement tool
  • Creating summary reports, financial analysis, and presentations
• Support PBM contract reviews and PBM contract negotiations, including financial modeling and review of language and terms.
• Support client presentations and reporting, including evaluation of client utilization, trends, and key pharmacy benefit findings.
• Manage, mentor, and train a team of financial analysts.
• Conduct peer review of RFP evaluations.
• Manage financial team project timelines to ensure timely completion.
• Partner with other internal teams to strategize and improve system and process efficiencies.
• Assist with training new employees on financial projects and financial evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance and/or similar discipline with analytic base
• 2–4 years’ experience in Pharmacy Benefit analytic consulting
• Strong experience in MS Office and/or MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of both Pharmacy and Medical data
• Experience with Tableau or a similar business intelligence package
• Experience in MS Access or understanding of relational databases

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $100,000 - $130,000 Annual
