Overview
This role involves owning the accounting and financial reporting foundation to support scaling from the current stage toward $50M+ ARR. It sits at the center of the finance function, bridging outsourced accounting partners, operational finance processes, and executive-level planning and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Own month-end close end-to-end, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Manage payroll, sales commissions, bill payments, expense reviews, and approval workflows
- Lead accounts receivable, collections, and DSO improvement across multiple business units
- Oversee revenue recognition and billing reconciliation for usage-based, credit-based, and multi-year contracts
- Manage federal and state tax compliance, filings, and implement compliance tooling
- Handle standalone financial reporting, intercompany accounting, and billing infrastructure for subsidiary operations
- Build internal controls, improve accounting processes, and prepare the business for future audit readiness
- Produce reliable metrics and reporting trusted by leadership, investors, and the board
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounting, controllership, or finance experience within SaaS or technology companies
- Deep expertise in full-cycle accounting, month-end close ownership, financial reporting, and GAAP
- Strong understanding of SaaS revenue recognition, including usage-based billing, credits, overages, and recurring revenue models
- Experience managing accounts receivable, collections, cash flow reporting, and operational finance processes
- Familiarity with SaaS metrics such as ARR, NRR, GRR, run-rate revenue, and DSO
- Proven ability to manage external accounting partners while maintaining ownership and accountability for outcomes
- Experience building and scaling finance processes in fast-growing environments
- Exceptional ownership and agency with the ability to independently prioritize, identify issues early, and drive execution without heavy direction
- Comfortable reconciling complex billing data, improving controls, partnering with stakeholders, and hands-on problem solving

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $190,000 - $210,000
