Overview
This role is for an experienced Financial Credit Analyst to help build a US credit data set. The position is based in the United States and reports to the Head of US Data in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
- Grow the US data set by processing financial reports using a proprietary data extraction system built with machine learning technology.
- Analyze extracted outputs for accuracy and completeness using internally developed audit tools and techniques.
- Monitor and “own” a coverage universe to support live data updates during corporate earnings season.
- Interact with clients (world’s leading investment firms) to answer questions about data and product functionality, and support sales and account management teams.
- Discuss product priorities and strategic objectives with a management team experienced in credit markets.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to review system performance and identify opportunities for improvement, including internal analyst tools and client-facing applications.
Requirements
- Accounting and/or finance qualifications such as CPA or CFA preferred from a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Financial statement audit/analysis capabilities; familiarity with creating financial models/reports from scratch.
- Strong academic track record with background in accounting and/or finance.
- US GAAP experience is essential; IFRS experience is useful.
- Ability to demonstrate superior work performance, attention to detail, and a commitment to outstanding results.
- Good Excel knowledge plus experience with data management.
- Passion for technology and learning new tools.
- Fluent in English and eligible to work in the US.
