Overview
This full-time Financial Data Analyst role supports the success of independent optometrists by providing data-driven insights and maintaining accurate financial data processes. The position involves collaborating across departments to improve workflows, build analytical models, and deliver actionable reports that influence business performance.
Responsibilities
Data Entry
- Perform monthly updates for recurring dashboards and reports with the latest data.
- Support quarterly vendor data uploads into the internal finance database, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Create follow-up reports and develop next-step processes.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance workflow strategies and communicate process changes.
- Identify opportunities to leverage data insights to optimize business performance and strategic initiatives.
Database Maintenance
- Monitor data inputs from multiple sources (Microsoft SQL, vendors, Datarails, etc.) and correct inaccuracies.
- Maintain data performance and health across communication channels, including workflow builds, personalized content modules, list hygiene, and deliverability.
- Identify quality assurance opportunities and develop documentation and processes to ensure operational excellence.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Data Insights
- Support ad hoc reporting requests by gathering requirements, collecting data, building outputs, deriving insights, and iterating with stakeholders.
- Provide analytical expertise and support for higher-level projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience working with data.
- Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include Data Analysis, Accounting, or Finance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook and Excel.
- Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Tableau is preferred.
- Knowledge of Datarails, Adaptive, Oracle Hyperion, and Microsoft SQL is a plus.
- Financial analysis experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management, decision-making ability, and attention to detail.
