Overview
A leading provider of event and venue management software serving customers in over 50 countries is seeking a Financial Consultant. The role involves partnering with customers to understand their business needs, guiding financial workflow design, and supporting the implementation, customization, and optimization of enterprise financial software solutions. The software powers major venues and events worldwide, including theaters, stadiums, museums, convention centers, and sports arenas.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers to understand business requirements and recommend effective financial workflow solutions within the enterprise software
- Configure the financial software according to customer requirements, industry best practices, and project scope
- Provide ongoing support and guidance for recurring customer engagements, escalations, and inquiries
- Deliver training and support to ensure customers understand, adopt, and gain value from the financial software package
- Assist customers with financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements, financial analysis, and operational insights
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth
- Stay current on software features and functionality to support implementations and ongoing optimization
- Present solutions confidently to customer leadership and stakeholders such as directors, controllers, and CFOs
- Serve as a financial subject matter expert, collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Support, Product, and other internal teams
- Consistently achieve an 80% utilization target
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year experience in financial software implementation or consulting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and business processes
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to translate complex subject matter into clear, practical guidance
- Confidence presenting to clients, stakeholders, and internal departments
- Growth-oriented mindset with openness to feedback and continuous improvement
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required (typically less than 20%)
