Overview
This position manages agency and financial systems, including Epic, Concur, JDE, and related reporting tools. It includes responsibility for testing, integration, conversion, support, and reporting for financial systems.
This role also serves as a key liaison to Applied Systems and other vendors for all finance and accounting needs, including product design, reporting, and production support.
In addition, the position oversees system processes, including production support for accounting issues and follow-up/tracking with Applied Systems, and it gathers and documents reporting requirements based on agency management system data and related systems. The role coordinates conversion-related tasks with the merger and acquisition integration team.
The position also manages staff by providing direction, setting goals, and ensuring overall department goals are attained.
Responsibilities
- Manage testing, integration, conversion, support, and reporting for financial systems (including Epic, Concur, JDE, and related reporting tools)
- Act as liaison to Applied Systems and other vendors for finance and accounting aspects, including:
- Product design
- Reporting
- Production support
- Manage system processes, including:
- Production support for accounting issues
- Follow-up and tracking with Applied Systems
- Gathering and documenting reporting requirements based on agency management system data and related systems
- Proactively lead and coordinate tasks for conversions with the merger and acquisition integration team
- Manage staff by providing direction, setting goals, and ensuring department goals are met
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Accounting/Finance)
- Minimum 8 years of general accounting experience and/or minimum 6 years of insurance brokerage accounting experience
- Strong accounting process knowledge and understanding of G.A.A.P.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formula usage
