Overview
A financial management role is available supporting a Department of Defense client. This position requires expertise in financial management, accounting, audit, internal controls, and financial policy.
Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), Department of Defense (DoD) financial management policies and procedures, and DoD organizational structures.
- Provide financial audit statements and audit readiness services.
- Understand current trends in compliance with accounting and auditing standards within Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP).
- Support Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies and federal financial management systems.
- Assist with DoD financial statement audit remediation and sustainment strategy, execution, oversight, and reporting.
- Support enterprise audit remediation/sustainment strategy, governance meeting content development, governance communication, and recurring FIAR reporting.
- Provide audit infrastructure support including management recommended audit plans, consolidated audits, and audit liaison activities.
- Participate in audit remediation efforts including DoD-wide remediation support, working group meeting support, and remediation expertise.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must have clearance adjudicated prior to onboarding. Active "SECRET" or higher clearance preferred.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience providing government financial management support, including audit readiness, remediation, and internal controls.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Department of the Navy (DoN) financial management policies and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information quickly and lead client-facing discussions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $100,100.00 - $150,400.00, dependent on skills, experience, security clearance, certifications, and organizational needs.
