Overview
This fractional CFO role is hands-on and end-to-end: owning the organization’s finances from cash flow and payments to monthly close, taxes, forecasting, budgeting, and credit facilities that fund growth. The role supports about 1–2 days a week (approximately as needed) and is fully remote.
The organization generates $50M+ in annual revenue and is scaling to $100M+. Responsibilities focus on preventing financial surprises while ensuring the books close on time each month, payments and filings are accurate and on schedule, and credit lines remain well-managed.

- Time supplier, purchase order (PO), freight, and other payments to align with the cash plan.
- Run and manage the monthly close process with an outside bookkeeper, including reviewing the P&L against budget with the CEO.
- Ensure all payments are correct and executed on time, including:
- Contractor pay (twice a month)
- Supplier and freight bills
- Software and card expenses
- Affiliate and creator payouts
- Forecast subscriptions, subscription cohorts, and the cash conversion cycle; flag risks or variances to plan the week they appear.
- Manage sales tax and corporate tax filing processes in coordination with the CPA; ensure all filings are correct and submitted on time.
- Own financial reporting and ensure accurate monthly finance updates, including a monthly finance report to the CEO.
- Manage credit and capital strategy, including:
- Growing credit lines
- Setting up and managing an asset-based lending facility
- Ensuring the next two quarters of POs are funded
- Maintain strong controls and audit readiness, including:
- Two-person approval on every payment
- Monthly reconciliations across accounts
- Ensuring the books are audit-ready
- Maintain and manage bank and lender relationships; keep lender reporting clean.

Outcomes (Success Looks Like)
