Overview
A Web3-enabled platform is seeking a Fund Advisor to mentor and train emerging investment managers on structuring, operating, and scaling compliant, on-chain investment clubs and venture funds. This role involves working directly with first-time general partners and investment club leaders to help them build disciplined, high-performing investment communities.
Responsibilities
- Mentor emerging fund managers on launching and structuring investment clubs and venture funds
- Train managers on sourcing, screening, due diligence, and investment committee process design
- Assist in building portfolio construction frameworks and capital deployment pacing
- Support managers with limited partner communication, reporting, and governance standards
- Review investment memos and provide structured, actionable feedback
- Provide frameworks for risk management and portfolio monitoring
- Conduct workshops, office hours, and structured training sessions
- Help managers refine LP decks and fundraising narratives
- Monitor fund performance and identify operational improvements
- Contribute to best-practice playbooks for early-stage fund operators
Requirements
- Experience in venture capital, angel investing, or fund operations
- Direct exposure to launching or operating a syndicate, investment club, or venture fund
- Strong understanding of fund economics including carry, management fees, reserves, DPI/TVPI
- Experience evaluating early-stage startups and writing or reviewing investment memos
- Strong mentorship and communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex fund mechanics for first-time managers
- Experience building systems such as CRM, reporting frameworks, and diligence processes
- High ownership mindset and execution discipline
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a general partner, venture partner, or fund operator
- Prior experience coaching founders or investors
- Exposure to global emerging markets or first-time fund managers
