Overview
This is a fully remote Funds Flow Staff Accountant position supporting the finance team with key accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and compliance processes. The role contributes to accurate financial reporting and strengthened internal controls to support reliable financial information for organizational decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely journal entries with appropriate documentation.
- Conduct monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations and follow up on discrepancies.
- Analyze financial data and summarize results for management as requested.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain robust internal controls.
- Keep desktop procedures current and precise within areas of responsibility.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
- Support the department’s goal-setting activities.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field such as Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Accounting/Management Information Systems.
- Minimum of one year of direct accounting experience; month-end close experience is advantageous.
- General knowledge of finance and accounting functions including revenue, budgeting, credit, reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus; Microsoft Dynamics preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP.
- Compliance with HIPAA regulations is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Month-end close experience.
- Microsoft Dynamics experience (preferred, but not required).
- ERP system experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000 to $80,000 base pay (exclusive of bonuses or benefits).
- Annual bonus targeted at 15%.
