Overview
A leading aerospace and defense organization is seeking a professional to join their Global Payroll Team. This remote role, based in the United States, focuses on driving payroll process improvements, standardization initiatives, and operational excellence within a fast-paced, high-volume, metrics-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze current payroll processes to identify inefficiencies.
- Design future-state payroll processes and document workflows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Apply process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or PDCA.
- Develop and maintain a payroll improvement roadmap.
- Define and uphold payroll standards and governance to ensure consistency across global operations.
- Lead change management efforts for system and process updates.
- Develop communication, rollout, and adoption plans.
- Collaborate with technical teams to clarify requirements and reduce rework.
- Facilitate workshops and collaborative design sessions.
- Lead and coordinate payroll projects and operational initiatives through all project phases.
- Create project plans, deliverables, timelines, and report risks and progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years of relevant experience in HR, Finance, Timekeeping, and Payroll data.
- Minimum 7 years of experience with international payroll, including strong knowledge of global payroll practices, compliance, and governance.
- Experience with structured project management methodologies.
- Proven ability to analyze and redesign end-to-end payroll processes in complex or global environments.
- Demonstrated experience applying process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, PDCA).
- Skilled in identifying inefficiencies, root causes, and implementing scalable process solutions.
- Experience creating and documenting SOPs, workflows, and process maps.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. law.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ADP GlobalView, ADP Celergo, Workday, Planview, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to effectively manage project teams.
- Initiative, innovation, critical thinking, and ability to challenge the status quo.
- Comfortable managing ambiguity with strong change leadership capabilities.
- Proven success in strategic decision-making and communicating effectively at all organizational levels.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $132,400 - $251,600 USD, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Location
- This is a remote position requiring residence in one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).
