Overview
This role supports the development and ownership of forecasting for Grants Payments outside of Medidata Payments, including ongoing updates and improvements. The Grants Payments Data Analyst collaborates with Revenue Recognition, Clinical Payments, Investigator Grants Payments, and Project Analyst teams to build an end-to-end forecasting process for Clinical Site Payments and to prepare client-ready forecast deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Work with Central Planning and Clinical Operations teams to gather current site enrollment and patient enrollment data (actual and forecast)
- Assist in creating a forecasting model for needs outside of Medidata Payments, and own the model along with subsequent updates and improvements
- Link the forecast model with Medidata Payments forecasts
- Partner with the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Revenue Recognition team to confirm adherence to requirements for financial audits
- Create client-ready forecast deliverables as specified per sponsor contracts
- Perform forecast analysis, including plan versus actuals and total budget needs with sponsors
- Notify Project Analysts and Global Project Leads of issues involving over-forecast or under-forecast variances
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and support year-end and interim audit processes
- Support Clinical Operations (CO) process
- Stay up to date with local and global revenue regulations
- Ensure accurate reporting to clients in a timely manner in line with client requirements
- Perform final reconciliation on study closeout and provide Project Analysts with final client-ready reports for review

Requirements
- Ability to influence and challenge as required
- Understanding of the process of paying sites
- Understanding of accounting and revenue recognition standards
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient in Excel, databases, and accounting systems
- Degree educated with at least 2 to 5 years of finance experience

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (annual): $54,500.00 - $107,500.00 (United States of America)
- Base salary plus a competitive benefits package depending on location
- Pay equity and transparency; salary will be discussed during the interview process
- Compensation will fall within the provided range, but the range is intended to provide candidates an understanding of potential earnings (not a guarantee of exact salary). Final salary is determined based on relevant experience, performance, education, and internal equity.
