Overview

A company is seeking a Hotel Collections Billing Specialist to join their Ale Solutions division within the Lodging line of business. This position is based in St. Charles, IL. The role involves supporting the end-to-end billing and invoicing process for hotel partner accounts, ensuring accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining financial records. The specialist will report to the Billing Resolution Manager and collaborate with accounting, hotel relations, and client services teams.

Responsibilities

  • Process sales orders and invoices using Azure and D365 systems, including file uploads, invoice validation, and distribution
  • Apply credits to appropriate accounts while maintaining accurate account records
  • Manage billing corrections by updating invoice amounts and validating balances across systems
  • Create and process credit notes for full or partial invoice adjustments with proper documentation
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies such as incorrect commission rates, missing invoices, and payment variances
  • Maintain detailed records of billing activity, corrections, and account status within internal systems
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and support account reconciliation
  • Identify and implement improvements to billing workflows, system efficiencies, and reporting accuracy

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or financial operations
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably D365, and invoicing platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing
  • Ability to independently reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data validation processes
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
