Overview
A motivated and ambitious individual is sought to join the Corporate Tax team. This role involves managing annual reports, business licenses, and exemption certificate administration. The position plays a key role in supporting the transactional tax function and maintaining internal business relationships.
Locations: Pittsburgh, PA; Chicago, IL; or Remote (U.S. only, excluding AK, DC, ME, NH, NM, OK, HI, MS, MT, NV, NE, ND, SD, VT, WY, WV)
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file annual reports and business licenses
- Assist with monthly sales and use tax compliance as needed
- Manage exemption certificate requests from vendors and customers
- Maintain tax software (including product exceptions, customer exemptions, rate overrides, material group mappings)
- Respond to tax authority inquiries and audits when necessary
- Assist with account reconciliations for various tax liabilities
- Identify and support process improvements
- Communicate effectively within the organization to facilitate information flow
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of administrative, customer service, tax/finance, or relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and internet applications
- Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent customer service skills for internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated personal accountability and willingness to take on new responsibilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within project timelines and work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or tax engine software
- Knowledge or experience with data analytics or robotic platforms
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear, and see
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $53,000 - $63,000 USD annually, determined by location, experience, and other job-related factors
