Overview
A corporate tax team is seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to manage annual reports, business licenses, and exemption certificate processes. This role supports the transactional tax function and maintains internal business relationships related to tax compliance.
Locations: Pittsburgh, PA; Chicago, IL; or Remote (U.S. candidates only, excluding AK, DC, ME, NH, NM, OK, HI, MS, MT, NV, NE, ND, SD, VT, WY, WV)
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file annual reports and business licenses
- Assist with monthly sales and use tax compliance as needed
- Manage exemption certificate requests from vendors and customers
- Maintain tax software configurations (product exceptions, customer exemptions, rate overrides, material group mappings, etc.)
- Respond to tax authority inquiries and audits when necessary
- Assist with account reconciliations for various tax liabilities
- Identify and support process improvements
- Communicate effectively within the organization to facilitate information flow
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of administrative, customer service, tax, finance, or related experience, or equivalent education and experience
- High proficiency with MS Office Suite, Outlook, and internet applications
- Experience with SAP or tax engine software is a plus
- Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent customer service skills for internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated personal accountability and willingness to take on new responsibilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within project timelines and work independently
- Knowledge or experience with data analytics or robotic platforms is a plus
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear, and see
- Occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $53,000 - $63,000 USD annually, based on location, experience, and other job-related factors
