Overview
This paid summer internship offers college students real-world experience with the Investment Solutions team for 2027. The Investment Analyst Intern will be a member of the Investment Team and will report directly to the analysts and portfolio manager responsible for managing the firm’s investment portfolios.
This role provides exposure to the institutional investment marketplace, with the goal of developing an understanding of multi-asset class portfolio management and gaining experience with a range of investment management firms and strategies.
Responsibilities
- Assist the investment team with portfolio monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
- Support external manager updates (calls and meetings) and compile notes for distribution to team members.
- Maintain investment-related databases, spreadsheets, and models to track client portfolio exposures.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative reviews of existing and prospective external managers and help recommend changes to client portfolios.
- Perform asset class and capital markets research.
- Produce clear, concise written reports of analysis performed, with limited supervision.
- Prepare information, reports, and analysis for the Chief Investment Officer, Lead Portfolio Managers, and current and prospective clients as directed.
- Collaborate with a team virtually to complete a financial planning project or investment research project.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Finance or similar field with a strong academic record.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong interest in public and private capital markets and portfolio management.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Bloomberg.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Paid internship program requiring availability of 40 hours per week.
