Investment Analyst (Private Capital)

Overview

This role involves joining a private capital ecosystem as a Certified Contractor Investment Analyst. The position is for independent contractors who will be activated through a certification, verification, and approval process to work on live private market transactions and paid analytical engagements.

Responsibilities

Investment Analysts perform work based on category-specific approvals earned through assessment and performance. Approved responsibilities may include:

• Financial Modeling & Valuation:
  • Three-statement financial modeling
  • Commercial real estate underwriting
  • Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) and LBO modeling
  • Sensitivity and scenario analysis
  • Comparable company and precedent transaction analysis
  • Football-field valuation summaries
• Due Diligence & Investment Support:
  • Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis
  • Commercial, operational, and financial diligence
  • Risk identification and assessment
  • Investment memorandum and committee materials support

Analysts may only perform work within categories they are formally approved for. Approvals are merit-based.

Requirements

Candidates must meet at least one of the following to qualify:

• Achieve a 70%+ score in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
• Complete approved financial training
• Hold an active professional credential such as CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent

Analyst Levels & Compensation

• Senior Investment Analyst

  • Rating Score: 90–100
  • Pay: $150–$200/hour
  • Typical Background: 5+ years in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, real estate development, or senior consulting with transaction experience

• Lead Investment Analyst

  • Rating Score: 80–89
  • Pay: $100–$150/hour
  • Typical Background: 3–5 years of deal execution, modeling, or valuation experience

• Investment Analyst / Associate Analyst

  • Rating Score: 60–79
  • Pay: $50–$100/hour
  • Typical Background: Entry- to mid-level analysts with strong technical and analytical skills

Analysts operate as independent contractors. Hourly rates depend on Rating Score and approval tier. Analysts may also earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees, with a maximum deal-based earning of $2,500 per transaction. Payments are made after successful deal completion and fee collection.

Certification & Onboarding Process

• Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved financial training
• Receive category-specific approvals (e.g., Modeling, Valuation, Due Diligence)
• Complete verification and onboarding
• Begin earning immediately through hourly engagements and live deal work

No cold applications or unpaid trial work are accepted. Verified analysts are actively promoted to investors and deal sponsors on the platform.
