Overview
This role is a Summer Internship opportunity within an Investment Banking team focused on middle market advisory services. The internship is remote, with a preference for candidates based in California. The position runs from July 6, 2026, to September 4, 2026, requiring 15-20 hours per week.
The team works closely with family- and founder-owned middle market companies, providing tailored solutions across the full transaction lifecycle including strategic alternatives, transaction readiness, execution, and closing.
Responsibilities
- Support financial analysis, including valuation and Excel-based modeling
- Conduct industry, company, and market research to support client engagements
- Assist in preparing pitch materials, presentations, and client deliverables
- Provide support on transaction execution activities such as due diligence and coordination
- Contribute to projects related to mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, and strategic transactions
- Assist with internal initiatives supporting the growth of the investment banking practice
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Building and updating financial models and valuation analyses
- Analyzing historical and projected financial performance of target companies
- Developing company profiles, buyer lists, and market mapping materials
- Supporting preparation of marketing materials and transaction documentation
- Conducting comparable company and precedent transaction analysis
- Assisting with tracking deal pipeline activity and internal reporting
- Supporting capital formation, financing, and corporate finance-related research
- Contributing to research and materials related to transaction readiness and exit planning
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Rising Senior preferred
- Strong academic performance (preferred GPA 3.5+)
- Demonstrated interest in investment banking, corporate finance, or transactions
- Previous internship experience in investment banking preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range for positions in California, New York City, and Washington: $25-30 per hour
- Final offer amounts are based on factors including role, location, skills, experience, and qualifications
