Overview
This role involves serving as a Certified Investment Vetting Analyst within a private capital ecosystem that connects capital with finance professionals. Analysts operate as independent contractors, focusing on screening, evaluating, and validating private market investment opportunities before they reach investors or progress through the capital pipeline. The position emphasizes investment quality control, risk identification, underwriting review, and transaction readiness assessment.
Responsibilities
Depending on certification approvals, Investment Vetting Analysts may be engaged in:
- Preliminary deal screening and qualification
- Reviewing sponsor track records and transaction structures
- Assessing investment theses and market positioning
- Identifying key underwriting risks
- Evaluating capital stack and return structures
- Reviewing 3-statement financial models
- Validating DCF and LBO analyses
- Conducting commercial real estate underwriting reviews
- Performing sensitivity and scenario testing
- Analyzing comparable companies and precedent transactions
- Preparing football field valuation summaries
- Supporting Quality of Earnings (QoE) reviews
- Conducting commercial and operational diligence analyses
- Performing financial consistency checks across materials
- Reviewing assumptions, projections, and pro forma adjustments
- Preparing investment summary findings
- Ensuring financial materials meet investor standards
- Supporting preparation of investment memos
- Flagging red flags prior to capital introduction
- Conducting transaction readiness reviews before distribution
Analysts may only perform work in categories for which they have received approval, which is earned through assessment and performance.
Requirements
To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:
- Score 70% or higher in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
- Complete the organization's financial training program
- Hold an active professional credential such as CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent
Certification Tiers and Pay Ranges
Compensation & Deal Terms
- Analysts are independent contractors, not employees
- Hourly rates depend on Analyst Rating Score and approval level
- Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees
- Maximum deal-based earning is $2,500 per transaction
- Payments are issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection
- Approvals may be revoked for quality or compliance issues
Analyst Rating Score
Each analyst receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score that determines:
- Visibility on the platform
- Approved vetting and analysis categories
- Recommended hourly rates
- Eligibility for higher-tier investment review assignments
How to Start Earning
- Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved training
- Receive category-specific approvals (e.g., Vetting, Modeling, Valuation, Due Diligence)
- Get verified on the platform
- Begin earning income immediately through hourly vetting assignments and live deal reviews
