Overview
A financial technology team is seeking a Junior Investment Analyst to support an AI Lab focused on developing next-generation financial intelligence systems. This role involves applying fundamental investment principles, financial analysis, and market reasoning to assist in training and evaluating AI models.
Responsibilities
- Conduct equity and macroeconomic research across various sectors
- Build and interpret financial models including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and scenario analysis
- Analyze earnings reports, regulatory filings, and market data
- Assist in generating investment theses and risk assessments
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for financial accuracy and quality of reasoning
- Collaborate with senior experts to refine model outputs and datasets
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in investment banking, equity research, or buy-side roles
- Strong understanding of financial statements and valuation techniques
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial modeling
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong analytical rigor
Preferred Qualifications
- CFA Level I or II candidate
- Exposure to public equities or asset management
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Python or SQL
