Loan Processor

Overview

This is a fully remote role.

The organization is seeking a Loan Processor to support the underwriting team. The role focuses on assessing the creditworthiness of small business applicants and completing credit portfolio processing tasks. Accurate processing of funding applications, clear documentation, and effective communication help support underwriting decisions and timely loan preparation.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming funding applications in internal systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy
• Review and input data from bank statements, credit reports, and business documents
• Verify consistency of key business and applicant information across documents
• Address processing issues and escalate when necessary
• Identify missing, expired, or inconsistent documentation and request corrections
• Prepare files for the next stage of review, ensuring they are clean and complete
• Conduct final reviews, including due diligence steps such as merchant interviews and verification calls
• Confirm all funding conditions are met and the deal is ready for funding
• Maintain clear and accurate notes in internal systems
• Communicate with internal teams to ensure efficient file progression
• Support ad-hoc projects and operational needs as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Some exposure to finance, lending, banking, underwriting support, or document review is beneficial but not required
• Basic comfort reviewing bank statements, credit reports, or business documentation
• Ability to follow defined workflows and instructions
• Willingness to learn about working capital products and internal systems
• Strong work ethic suited to a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Coachable and eager to learn
• Team-oriented and accountable
