This role supports the servicing of commercial real estate (CRE) loans, including CMBS, balance sheet, and agency loans, within the Midland organization. Work may be eligible for remote work in select geographic locations, subject to approval, and must be performed from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace if approved. Occasional in-office participation may be required based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day servicing of a portfolio of commercial real estate loans, ensuring compliance with loan document requirements, accurate processing of transactions, and timely reporting to stakeholders.
  • Analyze and interpret complex loan agreements to accurately apply loan terms in loan servicing activities.
  • Resolve non-compliant issues through written and verbal communication with internal and external parties.
  • Review and process loan payments, escrows, and reserve account disbursements (as needed).
  • Assist with preparation of periodic reporting, including investor, internal, and regulatory reports (as needed).
  • Perform covenant compliance testing (as needed).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan servicing records in the servicing system.
  • Support onboarding of new loans and transition of paid-off or transferred loans (as needed).
  • Support tax and insurance administration (as needed).
  • Perform collection activities on delinquent accounts (as needed); may have funds disbursement authority.
  • Monitor delinquencies and perform collection activities.
  • Identify and contact authorized parties to complete Borrower Admin registration for CRE Insight access.
  • Process borrower requests via phone, email, and the CRE Insight portal.
  • Research and process incoming and aged funds.
  • Review and process borrower-requested late charge waivers.
  • Complete address changes, audit confirmations, and rate cap reviews.
  • Review reports to identify exceptions and support risk mitigation efforts.
  • Communicate and collaborate with functional departments to help address borrower questions or issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Roles at this level typically require an Associate’s degree (or equivalent) and related experience or product knowledge to accomplish primary duties.
  • Typically requires 4+ years of related business or functional experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
