Overview
A leading technology organization is seeking a Billing Manager to oversee global advertising billing operations and lead a small team of revenue operations specialists. This role involves managing month-end billing, ensuring invoicing accuracy, maintaining billing-related SOX controls, and driving process improvements in collaboration with Billing Engineering and Finance transformation teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead global billing operations for advertising, including month-end billing runs, invoice generation, and coordination with Order Management and Sales to ensure accurate and timely invoicing aligned with close calendar and SLAs.
- Own month-end billing review and SOX controls, approve higher-risk billing adjustments, and sign off on key invoicing controls.
- Manage complex billing adjustments and reconciliations, including makegoods and other adjustments.
- Serve as the primary billing contact for Collections and Sales regarding escalations, invoice issues, and advertiser/agency inquiries, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution.
- Manage and develop the Billing team by setting priorities, balancing workloads, and providing clear expectations, feedback, and career development.
- Drive process and system improvements by leveraging AI and partnering with Engineering, Product, and CAO Transformation teams to reduce manual work, enhance dashboards and automation, improve data quality, and strengthen order-to-cash billing controls.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in revenue operations, billing, or revenue accounting, preferably in a large or fast-growing company.
- At least 2 years of management experience leading analysts or specialists in finance, billing, or accounts receivable.
- Strong knowledge of order-to-cash processes, including invoicing, billing adjustments, accounts receivable, and revenue recognition.
- Experience working in a SOX-compliant environment and collaborating with external auditors.
- Proficiency with large data sets and enterprise systems such as Oracle R12 or other tier-one ERP systems, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and BI tools (e.g., Tableau or similar).
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to partner effectively across cross-functional teams including Sales, Order Management, Engineering, Product, and Data.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $98,561 to $202,918 USD annually.
- Position is eligible for equity compensation.
- Final salary is determined based on factors such as location, relevant experience, skills, and expertise.
Location & Work Model
- This position is US-based.
- The role requires in-office presence for collaboration approximately 3-4 times per quarter.
- This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
