Overview
This opportunity is with a leading company in the automotive technology industry seeking an experienced professional to manage payroll and accounts payable functions. The role involves ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, overseeing financial processes, and leading a team.
Responsibilities
- Execute internal controls to maintain compliance with SOX requirements
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing and vendor communications
- Oversee the complete payroll process, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Supervise and develop team members through coaching and performance feedback
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align accounts payable and payroll processes with organizational goals
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in payroll management; accounts payable experience is preferred
- Strong knowledge of payroll and accounts payable principles, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and internal controls
- Excellent analytical and advanced mathematical skills
- Experience with process automation and implementation of internal controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree with a focus on Finance or Accounting
- Experience with PeopleSoft Financial System, SAP Concur, Workday, and ADP
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
- Experience leading system migrations within a public company or SOX-compliant environment
Compensation and Benefits
