Overview
This remote Manager, Reimbursement Regulatory Reporting role involves leading strategic reimbursement initiatives across the healthcare system. The position includes evaluation, planning, coordination, and completion of projects related to Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulatory reimbursement methodologies with financial implications. The manager ensures compliance with government reimbursement regulations and implements internal controls as directed. Additionally, the role includes overseeing the functional team’s operations, mentoring staff, managing workloads, and prioritizing reimbursement-related projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulatory reports
- Conduct wage index reviews and Medicaid Eligible Days reviews
- Develop and implement cost-based reimbursement strategies
- Ensure compliance with all government reimbursement regulations
- Execute internal controls as defined by leadership
- Manage and mentor reimbursement team staff
- Assess workloads and prioritize reimbursement projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 6 years of demonstrated experience in reimbursement with expert knowledge of current reimbursement and reporting rules and regulations
- At least 4 years of leadership experience, preferably including supervisory responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification upon hire
- CHFP certification upon hire
- Experience in consulting, multi-hospital systems, or Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) environments

Salary ranges vary by location as follows:

- California (Humboldt): $54.40 - $85.88 per hour
- California (Northern California except Humboldt): $61.04 - $96.35 per hour
- California (Southern California except Bakersfield): $54.40 - $85.88 per hour
- California (Bakersfield): $52.19 - $82.39 per hour
- Montana (except Great Falls): $42.02 - $66.33 per hour
- Montana (Great Falls): $39.81 - $62.84 per hour
- Oregon (Non-Portland Service Area): $48.65 - $76.80 per hour
- Oregon (Portland Service Area): $52.19 - $82.39 per hour
- Texas: $39.81 - $62.84 per hour
- Washington (Western except Tukwila): $54.40 - $85.88 per hour
- Washington (Southwest - Olympia, Centralia & Below): $52.19 - $82.39 per hour

Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses.
