Overview

This role supports an investment content mission by creating written and on-camera analysis for retail investors.

You will publish weekly investment writing and deliver one long-form video each week (plus additional interview content). The work focuses on original, judgment-based perspectives on markets, earnings, and companies—crafted to help everyday investors understand what matters.

Responsibilities

  • Write and publish weekly articles responding to market events, earnings, and spotlighting companies of interest.
  • Research newsworthy topics globally and develop original—often contrarian—investment insights.
  • Deliver one long-form YouTube video per week (roughly 4 per month), focused on a stock, sector, or investing theme.
  • Interview executives from listed companies for video content in addition to the regular weekly videos.
  • Write and deliver scripts based on real analysis, with natural, conversational on-camera delivery.
  • Maintain energy, clarity, and personality across longer runtimes (holding attention over extended segments).
  • Present credible and approachable explanations of often-dense topics.
  • Work from scripts written by yourself or the editorial team.
  • Build an on-camera presence across YouTube, articles, and community.
  • Film on a predictable weekly cadence and collaborate with editorial and video production teams, incorporating feedback quickly.
  • Contribute to a channel and publication that are still in development, helping evolve formats based on what works.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5+ years writing about markets, investing, or finance, ideally for a consumer or investor audience.
  • Existing on-camera experience in any sector.
  • Deep global market fluency, including comfort tracking the global news cycle and earnings season.
  • Experience and credibility as a stock investor, including fundamental analysis and portfolio management.
  • Comfort speaking about stocks and markets on camera without sounding rehearsed.
  • Familiarity with long-form YouTube conventions, including pacing and structure for 10–15+ minutes.
  • Self-editing skills and reliability; able to run your own content pipeline with light oversight and deliver on schedule.
  • Comfort using AI tools to research and produce faster while keeping your voice intact.
