Overview

This full-time, work-from-home position involves providing training, developing, and maintaining documentation for Membership Accounting. The role includes retraining established Membership Accounting specialists as needed and delivering ongoing training on new procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver training for new hires, ongoing refresher sessions, and annual training across department products including Medicare, Medicaid, Individual, Group, and Behavioral Health Services (BHS).
  • Develop and update courses, modules, and training materials for Membership Accounting specialists at all levels.
  • Coordinate training content to ensure consistency throughout the organization.
  • Monitor new hire performance, provide coaching, and facilitate weekly one-on-one meetings.
  • Create and implement presentations that accommodate various adult learning styles.
  • Conduct end-of-course evaluations and develop action plans.
  • Create and update documentation, department procedures, and resource materials as needed.
  • Advise supervisors on personnel issues, exercising proper judgment.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and directing department activities and workflow.
  • Participate in or manage assigned projects.
  • Foster a positive team environment and maintain professional interactions with peers, leadership, customers, and trainees.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify training needs and coordinate classes.
  • Ensure department compliance with HPMS, CCO, FFM, and other State and Federal information by reviewing, documenting, implementing, auditing, and training accordingly.
  • Maintain accuracy and annual review of all Medicare, Medicaid, FFM, BHS, Group, and related policies and procedures.
  • Interpret contracts, regulations, CMS memos, COBRA rules, and recommend procedural actions; write User Procedure Manuals (UPMs).

Required Skills, Experience, & Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of training experience in a health insurance environment, preferably within Membership Accounting (billing, eligibility, and reconciliation).
  • Ability to instruct, motivate, and direct individuals at various skill levels in both face-to-face and classroom settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as a team player.
  • Analytical skills to identify technical needs and implement effective solutions.
  • Proficient training skills for small and large groups with excellent presentation abilities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and ability to navigate web-based programs.
  • Excellent reading, verbal, and written communication skills; professional, patient, and courteous interaction.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and detail-oriented skills with the ability to shift priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple functions, and meet deadlines.
  • Consistent punctuality and attendance above company standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional presence.
  • Ability to read and interpret policy contracts and incorporate language into UPMs.
  • Understanding of State and Federal legislation affecting eligibility and billing administration (CMS, FFM, CCO/DCO, etc.) across multiple states.
  • Capability to independently develop training plans, workflows, and procedures understandable by trainees of all skill levels.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay range: $23.34 - $26.26, depending on experience.
