Overview

This role involves supporting the smooth operation of trading activities within a digital asset trading and market-making firm. The position focuses on reconciliations, daily bookings, and managing various financial processes in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Covering US time zone, Central/South America

Responsibilities

  • Monitor accounts and portfolios using analytic tools and assist in daily reconciliations.
  • Support the trading team with asset management across various exchanges and follow up on fund transfers as needed.
  • Collaborate individually or with teams and external contacts to resolve discrepancies and troubleshoot systemic issues promptly.
  • Manage creditor interactions, including verifying terms, facilitating drawdown and payment of loan principal and interest, and auditing invoices.
  • Produce scheduled and unscheduled reports, analyses, and historical records to support mandates and other teams.
  • Assist in quality assurance practices and help develop manual processes into automated workflows.
  • Conduct thorough break analysis and resolve discrepancies in trading data.
  • Support various ad hoc projects and tasks as required by the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • 3-5 years of middle office experience, preferably within a multinational organization, ideally in digital currencies, trading, or financial services.
  • Ability to raise issues with peers and managers and communicate effectively with clients and business partners to negotiate terms.
  • Strong ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate self-motivation, especially in a remote work setting.
  • Good initiative, a strong sense of urgency, and resilience to manage the dynamics of fast-paced teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial software systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external partners.
  • Understanding of blockchain technology, digital assets, and the regulatory landscape surrounding cryptocurrencies is highly desirable.
  • A self-starter who goes beyond assigned tasks to ensure quality outcomes.
