Overview
This role is for a Money Coach providing full-spectrum financial counseling and education to help individuals build healthier financial habits and achieve long-term goals. Coaching is conducted over the phone and via video.
Bilingual candidates are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coach members on topics including (but not limited to):
- Budgeting
- Debt
- Credit
- Homebuying
- Student loans
- Put anxious members at ease during phone and video sessions
- Deliver clear explanations of financial concepts
- Inspire behavioral change related to personal financial habits
- Research complex issues to develop innovative coaching strategies
- Encourage and guide clients to invest in an ongoing coaching relationship
- Maintain strong listening skills to provide empathy and understanding
- Provide persuasive communication that supports engagement in value-added services and solutions
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment by multitasking and taking detailed notes
- Participate in a comprehensive and engaging training program
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in a relevant consumer finance arena
- Motivational skills to inspire behavioral change around personal financial habits
- Proven track record persuading clients to engage in value-added services and solutions
- Superlative listening skills leading to empathy and understanding
- Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience
- High comfort with computers, software, and technology
- Openness to a culture of continuous development
- Passion for helping people in need
- Available to work two evenings per week

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $55,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on experience
