Overview
A life sciences and clinical research organization supporting clinical trials in over 100 countries is seeking an Operations Finance Analyst I. The organization develops frameworks for clinical research, including laboratory, digital, and decentralized trial services, with a focus on improving health, safety, and environmental conditions through research and therapy development.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial activities related to project portfolios and special assignments
- Identify and address contract issues, including modifications and deliverables
- Analyze budget versus actual data for revenue forecasting and reporting
- Prepare payment schedules, invoice backups, and process invoices while maintaining cash neutrality
- Perform regular reconciliations and analysis of revenues and billing at both project and company levels
- Develop financial trackers, tools, and dashboards by manipulating large datasets
- Ensure cost assignments comply with accepted cost accounting standards
- Coordinate and oversee project deliverables to meet corporate targets
- Track and interpret project information and budgets within the accounting system
- Participate in reviewing and developing financial reports, tools, systems, policies, and processes
- Coordinate invoicing with staff to ensure accuracy and timely collections
- Support risk assessment and mitigation related to revenue, gross profit, and balance sheet accounts
- Present data, models, and dashboards to leadership to support decision-making
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic/vocational qualification
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal clients
- Adaptability to new systems and processes
- Discretion in handling sensitive information and sound judgment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while delivering quality results
- Strong analytical, quantitative, written, and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and project administration skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SharePoint, VBA, SQL, Power BI, or RPA is advantageous
- Understanding of accounting and financial principles; professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated salary range: $56,000 to $62,000 annually
