Overview
This role involves leading Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll implementations, delivering end-to-end payroll solutions as part of large-scale Oracle Cloud HCM projects. The position requires partnering with clients to assess current payroll processes, design future-state solutions, and implement Oracle Cloud Payroll to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assess current payroll processes to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Design future-state payroll processes aligned with Oracle Cloud best practices and client goals
- Advise clients on payroll operations including retro-pay, costing, and year-end processing
- Develop detailed implementation plans in collaboration with internal teams and client stakeholders
- Lead payroll workstream activities throughout the project lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment
- Ensure alignment between business requirements and system configuration
- Facilitate workshops to gather and document complex payroll requirements
- Translate business needs into functional designs and Oracle Cloud Payroll configurations
- Apply knowledge of payroll concepts such as Legislative Data Groups (LDGs), Elements, and Payroll Definitions
- Serve as a trusted advisor on payroll strategy, compliance, and system optimization
- Communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders
- Support decision-making through analysis and recommendations
- Contribute to payroll best practices, accelerators, and intellectual property development
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the HCM practice
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of experience implementing Oracle Cloud HCM solutions
- Experience leading at least two full lifecycle Oracle Cloud Payroll implementations
- Strong functional expertise in payroll processes, including U.S. and/or global payroll and tax reporting
- Active Oracle Cloud Payroll certification
- Deep understanding of payroll configuration concepts (e.g., LDGs, Elements, Payroll Definitions)
- Experience in HCM consulting, systems integration, or management consulting environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of payroll and HR data, reporting, and analytics
- Willingness to travel as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional Oracle Cloud HCM modules such as Time and Labor, Absence Management, Core HR, Workforce Compensation, and Benefits
- Experience with complex payroll scenarios including retroactive processing, payroll costing, and third-party remittance
- Technical and reporting experience including Fast Formula development or review, BI Publisher and/or OTBI reporting, and payroll reconciliation processes
- Integration experience with third-party providers (e.g., ADP, BSI, banking interfaces)
- Experience mentoring junior team members and leading functional workstreams
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $120,000 - $220,000 (actual compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, business needs, and location)
