Overview
A healthcare organization is seeking a full-time Patient Account Representative to join their team. This role involves following up on insurance claims, resolving denials, and communicating with patients and insurance companies regarding insurance claims and account questions. After completing up to 90 days of on-site training and demonstrating competency in the organization's processes, the position transitions to remote work. Candidates must reside within the state of Iowa and be able to come into the office on short notice.
Responsibilities
- Follow up on insurance claims and resolve denials as needed.
- Review claims and make necessary adjustments before closing claim files.
- Respond to questions about outstanding balances, insurance coverage, and patient account inquiries.
- Collaborate remotely as part of a small, close-knit professional team.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate calmly and professionally with employers, patients, and payers regarding claims and payments.
- Strong listening skills, including asking clarifying questions and avoiding interruptions.
- Ability to work independently, maintain focus, and seek help when necessary.
- Must be located in Iowa and able to work remotely after training.

Additional Information
