Overview
This remote position is for a Patient Account Specialist based in Colorado. The role involves managing patient account payments, updating insurance and demographic information, researching payments, rebilling insurance when updates are provided, and collaborating with other departments to resolve issues including adjustments and insurance follow-up.
Responsibilities
- Process account payments

- Research payments and rebill insurance as needed
- Work with other departments to resolve account issues, including adjustments and insurance follow-up
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience
- Billing experience preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of insurance billing and follow-up practices preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to perform sedentary work involving prolonged periods of sitting and occasional exertion of up to 10 lbs
Compensation
- Hourly pay range: $19.54 - $33.16
