Patient Account Specialist

Overview

This role involves joining a Patient Account Specialist team responsible for managing patient account payments and insurance information. The position is remote and open to applicants residing in Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Process account payments
• Update insurance and demographic information
• Research payments
• Rebill insurance when updates have been provided
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues, including adjustments and insurance follow-up

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience required
• Billing experience preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of insurance billing and follow-up practices preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Physical requirements include sedentary work with prolonged periods of sitting and occasional exertion of up to 10 lbs

Compensation

• Hourly pay range: $19.54 - $33.16
