A healthcare organization is seeking a Payment Posting Specialist to join the Patient Financial Services department. This role involves detailed payment processing and offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately post insurance and patient payments for hospital and clinic systems, including manual receipts, electronic remittance advice (ERA), and credit card payments.
- Post zero-dollar payments such as deductibles and coverage terminations.
- Collaborate with research staff to resolve unpaid services.
- Ensure daily deposits reconcile with bank records, spreadsheets, and system postings.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation by researching and resolving variances to ensure all payments are posted by month-end.
- Post approved miscellaneous adjustments and assist with patient and insurance refunds.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a hospital and/or physician office setting in registration, billing, or posting roles.
