Overview

This role involves working as a Payment Operations Analyst within a Core Payments Operations team. The position requires managing high-volume, data-intensive payment processes and collaborating cross-functionally with various internal teams to ensure successful payment processing and timely resolution of issues.

Responsibilities

  • Process large volumes of payment files and perform detailed user account reconciliations with high accuracy.
  • Analyze data from multiple internal and external sources to troubleshoot and resolve payment processing issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including operations, client success, support, and customer solutions to ensure smooth payment processing.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve payment and product issues using available systems and tools; escalate as necessary.
  • Examine unique user cases to identify friction points and provide data-driven recommendations for improving operational workflows.
  • Suggest improvements to standard operating procedures to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and operational tasks for the payments team.
  • Maintain adherence to departmental standards for accuracy, efficiency, and service level agreements (SLAs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Payments, Financial Operations, or Banking.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative.
  • Strong skills in Excel, project management, and data analysis with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt and perform well in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, capable of explaining technical payment issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours when required.
