Overview
A financial services organization is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage and process payroll accurately and on time. This fully remote role supports a multi-state workforce and collaborates closely with HR and Accounting teams to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Process semi-monthly payroll including salaries, commissions, taxes, and deductions
- Review and audit timecards; follow up on discrepancies and overtime
- Calculate and reconcile commissions twice monthly
- Maintain payroll records and generate reports
- Reconcile payroll accounts including liabilities and benefits
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and tax variances
- Set up payroll tax accounts in new states as needed
- Enter expense reimbursements
- Support audits and reporting requirements
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of payroll experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, taxes, and compliance
- Experience with payroll systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing multi-state payroll
- Familiarity with Paylocity payroll system
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
