Overview
A dynamic organization is seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver to join their team on a permanent basis. This role involves serving as the primary representative responsible for delivering products efficiently and safely to customers. The position requires working independently, maintaining high safety standards, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicles efficiently.
- Deliver various items to multiple addresses following prescribed schedules.
- Review orders before and after delivery to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain delivery vehicles through regular inspections, cleaning, and reporting repairs.
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing queries, resolving issues, and handling complaints professionally.
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and safety.
- Utilize GPS and navigation tools to determine the most efficient routes.
- Complete logs, reports, and documentation as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Delivery Driver with a strong record of safe driving and punctuality.
- Valid professional driver's license with a clean driving record free of traffic violations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in using GPS and navigation applications.
- Physical ability to handle packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to operate forklifts and tractors as needed.
- Excellent organizational skills, time management, and professionalism.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to safety.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in driving, customer service, safety, logistics, route planning, and vehicle maintenance.
